Men, Rocks, Volcano all in Merapi vicinity

The volcano come first, and then men living surrounding. Other than vertile land for agriculture, the volcano also give raw material for the people to create temples, statute even the utensil for the household. The relation between men and Merapi is very intensive. Started at the eigth century when the mighty Borobudur was built, to today when thousands of peple hanging their live to the volcanic product : rock.


 How big the rock, human hands can handle it. With a very simple tools, these two men can split the big rock. Location at Tritis village, southern side of Merapi slope.

 The never sleep Merapi , keep smoking. Some pollution to the atmosphere? Maybe yes !
